All May Benefit From Infant Chiropractic Care If Your Baby Cries From Colic

Every new parent wants the absolute best for their child from the minute you arrive home from the hospital.  Every parent wants to avoid their child from suffering.  Your normal first step is to visit the pediatrician if your infant screams daily for hours.   If the pediatrician determines your child has ‘colic,’ you might be told  he or she will just 'grow out of it.'

Many parents say things like, "I am so tired, little Johnny was up screaming all night last night." or "I just don't know what to do to get little Suzy to stop crying."  Colic is a problem that is hard on the infant as well as the entire family.  What most parents don’t know is that there may be an answer to get relief for their children.

I had a recent a case of a young mother and her daughter who came into our office.  The mother said it was heart breaking listening to her daughter's screaming.  She felt helpless because there was nothing she could do to make her daughter feel better.  She tried everything - changing her diaper, rocking her, feeding her, changing her formula - but nothing seemed to work.

After one chiropractic adjustment, her daughter slept through the night and did not scream in pain anymore.  Chiropractic care doesn't "treat" colic, but by restoring balance and alignment in the spine and nervous system, the symptom may go away.  Many times infants endure trauma to their delicate spines and nervous systems in the birthing process.  This can lead to various problems including digestive issues and discomfort.  Gentle infant chiropractic adjustments help to relieve the stress and discomfort in an infant's body.  In turn, colic symptoms are alleviated.  In addition, this will help decrease stress for the entire family!

Dr. Katie has a special focus on working with pediatric patients and is trained to help kids live happier, healthier lives.  A baby who sleeps through the night without screaming also allows the entire family to rest more peacefully.
