When I was 10 years old, I woke up in the middle of the night with a really bad stomach ache. My parents thought maybe I had appendicitis so they took me to the hospital where they almost took my appendix out, but then decided that wasn't it. And spent the next four days doing every stomach test imaginable.
In our office right outside my adjusting room, we have this wall, which you can see right behind me. It is covered with pictures of kids here in our office getting adjusted, or even myself or Doctor Quintin adjusting their little teddy bears. Patients love to look at these pictures while they're waiting to get adjusted.
Just like that. After that adjustment, I felt so much better. This morning, I woke up with a headache. First thing that I did, get adjusted by my chiropractor, who is also my husband. I must have slept weird. I'm not really sure what caused it, but before I got adjusted, I was impatient with my kids. I felt like I couldn't really think clearly. I had no energy. I just wanted to go back to bed.
Hey, everybody just wanted to put on a quick video today about something that I've been trying to focus on a lot more, which is practicing gratitude. Morgan agrees, so does Ainslee, she agrees and Reagan too. We should practice gratitude. Yeah. Okay. So there are lots of benefits to practicing gratitude.
I don't know about all you mamas out there, but I oftentimes reminisce about what it was like being pregnant. I always come to this picture right here. This is me in May of 2016, shortly before giving birth to twins. And I always look at that and think, "Oh my goodness, that belly is enormous. How in the world did I do that?"
We all want what's best for our kids. And we really want to see them thrive in every situation in their life. So when a child is suffering with something like colic or constipation or ear infections or sensory issues or sleep difficulties, it can put a lot of stress on, not only the parents, but even the entire family.
During pregnancy, it is very important to tone and gently stretch the muscles and prepare for labor and delivery. Drs. Quintin and Katie Sleigh of Sleigh Family Chiropractic in Arlington Heights customize exercises and stretches for patients that come into the office depending on their condition.
